On a cold, rainy day in Volcano, Hawaii, the community came together for the Aloka the Peace Dog Walk for Peace, led by Action 4 Animals Hawai‘i.

 

The event celebrated Aloka the Peace Dog, who traveled over 2,300 miles with Buddhist monks from Texas to Washington, D.C., spreading messages of mindfulness and inner peace.

 

Aloka’s journey, from his beginnings as a stray in India to overcoming a severe leg injury, inspired all who gathered, showing resilience and compassion in the face of adversity.
