On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Kailua-Kona will host the 154th annual King Kamehameha Day Celebration Parade, honoring the legacy of Kamehameha the Great.

The parade commences at 9:00 a.m. on Kuakini Highway near the Palani Road intersection, proceeding down Palani to Kailua Pier, then southbound along Aliʻi Drive through the village to Royal Kona Resort.

Attendees can expect a vibrant display featuring pāʻū riders on horseback, each representing one of the eight Hawaiian Islands, adorned in island-specific flowers and colors.

The procession will also showcase hula hālau, community floats, and other cultural presentations.

Following the parade, the Huliheʻe Palace will host the annual Hoʻolauleʻa from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., offering live music, art exhibits, and performances.
